SHOBA Offers Three Methods of Registration Including DNA Typing For Stallions & Mares. 

Pedigree Registration:  Foals are automatically eligible for registration if both parents are registered and DNA typed with SHOBA. 
If your horse does not meet this requirement then you may choose the following method.

Performance Registration:  You may submit a video of your horse
gaiting to determine eligibility.  All horses submitted for a performance registration will be examined by our Video Review Committee.  Click here for more information on registration requirements and video instructions.

Broodmares:  Special consideration is made for broodmares who are not rideable.  If a mare produces two qualifying offspring then she may be registered without gait examination.
